YAM Vs NAPPA HEAD
Youth Arts Movement (YAM) is thrilled to announce our first donation from NAPPA HEAD. Nappahead is a Hong Kong
fashion initiative created by 4 talented girls who have different
personalities; sharing ideas on fashion trends, styling, shopping and more.
My name is Samantha; I am working in the fashion industry for
PR and Marketing. Me and 3 of my friends established a group called Nappahead.
On 30th Sept and 7th
Oct 2012, we will hold a Fashion Charity Sale at the HK Farmer's Market.
The Net profit will go to a Charity
organization which we selected YAM. Let me give you more details of what is the
Charity Sale about:
· From 25th Aug – 25th Sept, we are collecting all the
unwanted / seconded fashion items from friends who are mainly the fashion
industry people (press, artists, stylists, photographer etc), and then we will
check and scan through all the donated products. After collecting all the
products, we will sell them at the Farmer’s Market.
· Basically, we are rent a stall to do
the charity sale. Why are we organizing this event? It is because HK fashion
wastes problem is getting worst, we would like to spread the ‘recycling love’
and educate people to be more environmental friendly by sharing the unwanted
clothes or accessories with others.
· Preparation status: We have already
collected about 150 items and now working on the promotion plan, trying to get
media coverage as well.
· Charity Sale format: All products will
be selling in cheap price, depends on the quality of the products (from $7 -
$40 USD) ; We will send e-invite to all friends and our own contacts,
#HKfashionblogger group will help to promote as well; The charity sale will be
a very casual event and hopefully we can get a drinks sponsorship.
